Rueter-Hess Reservoir Improvements Project

2018

Project Description: This project involved the installation of a Worthington debris boom at Rueter Hess reservoir. Project required installation of nine (9) 10,000-lb concrete blocks for in-water anchor locations up to 150-feet deep. The blocks were tied together to form larger anchor points. The project also included installing five (5) Manta Ray anchors at each shoreline anchor location. Steel plates were fabricated by MDS and installed with backing plate washers to hold in place. The Worthington boom sections were then tied to both land and water anchors with use of shackles and galvanized wire rope. Total length of wire rope was 600-feet at each in-water location.

Services included:
• Commercial diving services
• Vessel water platform
• Install of Manta Ray anchor system and Worthington boom unit
• Installation of galvanized wire rope and accessories
